Well Wyatt has turned one and incase you missed it he had a blast! But everything is going great I just wanted to say thanks for sharing Wyatt's first year with us!

February.. A month of love and no bottles

Yes I do know it's January 30th but tuesday is February which also means Wyatt will be 11 months (on the 7th) CRAZY!?! yess I would say so! This also means our 1 year mark is fast approaching. We have shared tears and laughter and huge changes and through it all I tried to share as I could.. Mommy hood for the first year has been trying on my sanity and patience and put strain on relationships but it has also brought more smiles than I knew existed, more love than I thought was possible, and opened more possibilities than I thought were available. I haven't decided if I will continue the blog for another year or not.. Seeing as I have slacked this year with updates I guess I'll play it by ear.

Wyatt has been doing better at daycare! He had his first fire drill and pretty much slept through it lol which is an improvement seeing as he didn't sleep at all his first day there. This month brings a lot of changes we are "throwing out" (hiding in the cabinet) the bottle and all formula will be given in a sippy cup.. wish us luck haha. And eventually we will begin introducing whole milk and then after he is a year he gets all the good foods peanutbutter, eggs, honey, and strawberries yummmmyyy lol. He has also started walking with his dino-rider so that's exciting and before we know it he is going to not only be running things but running around lol. Speaking of the master calls but I will try to let ya'll know how this no bottle stunt goes haha.. next will be losing the paci :/ hahah

Daycare

Well it's unfortunately official Wyatt is now enrolled in daycare :( I don't know who hates it more me or him but it all around sucks not having him with me always :( but we are getting used to it he does better each day.. I love picking him up and to watch him light up and leap for me haha he is for sure the reason for my life I love him like crazy lol.. He also drives me a little crazy he is pulling himself up on absolutely everything including the side of the tub :/ NOT fun! But it is exciting for him pulling up on things that aren't as dangerous..He is also loving the stairs he books it to them to crawl up it's cute but lots of work and gasps lol. I still can't wrap my mind around how fast he has grown up.. he is about to be a year and becoming more of a toddler than a baby it's exciting and depressing at the same time because I know we'll never get this time back and it just keeps going away sooo quickly.. I finally put my battery in my camera so I have a few pictures that I will get around to uploading eventually as well but for now it's bed time :)

Goulash..a bit of everything

So I know I said I'd update more but things have been crazy busy and facebook is unfortunately just easier to get on :/ but with that being said I will try to fill it the last month for those of you who have stuck around :)

Christmas was great Wyatt loved playing with the paper while we wrapped presents but not so much after they had actual presents in them lol.. He did pretty well though got spoiled rotten haha and then took a good nap.. His top teeth have finally broken through I'm not sure if it's But things are going well in NY we found a daycare for him so that's good his uncle gage watched him today while I went for a job orientation and he did pretty good so I'm sure he will do fine in daycare but it still sucks having to leave him :( but I'm falling asleep as I type so I will try to get on here soon to keep the updates and adventures shared :)

New York!

We have officially moved to New York (not the city but outside of Albany!!) It's GORGEOUS here! The snow is amazing a little bit cold but so pretty and of course once I'm stuck in it and my toes are frozen I may have a different opinion but for now I LOVE it :) Wyatt is loving it too!! He is getting some good quality time with his Nana Deb and Papa Jerry :) and being spoiled rotten.. he also got to meet his Aunty Hannah for the first time too!!

He still hasn't gotten rid of the ear infections but is teething really bad so I'm hoping once the teeth come in his ears will clear up! He is scooting all over the place and pulling himself up whenever he gets a chance once he starts walking he will be hell on 2 feet lol. He is getting back on schedule the 2 day drive up here threw him off a bit and he's had some late nights but he gets used to things more each day :)

He went to get him first Christmas tree today :) it was neat you got to walk around and pick out a tree you like and then cut it down. We had fun!! It was a little cold walking through the snow but I kept him bundled up in his blanket so it didn't seem to bother him much he just kept looking around at the trees or looking at me to see what to think lol.

Fall is here!

I have been meaning to get on here and update for a while but every night after I put him to bed I'm too tired to think but finally I am updating.. I really feel like deleting facebook so I'd at least spend more time updating the blog plus I just hate fb.

Wyatt had his first halloween he was Batman (mommy's little superhero hahah) we went to visit my friends at UNC Charlotte for a costume birthday party and spent the weekend there. Wyatt had a good time and it was nice to have friends around again. We went to some cute little bakeries and of course I was in my glory loI dropped out of school but want to go back in January for the baking certificate but we'll see.. I use to be able to juggle school, work, and a life(friends, family, parties) but it's completely different when you have to take care of another person 24/7 it's really hard.. We came back Sunday (halloween day) and he wore his skeleton pjs and helped hand out candy that night.

He has been sick with ear infections this past month :( the pharmacy messed up his medicines so he never got better and now has strep throat and on his 4th week(10 days) of antibiotics so hopefully this will work and he will be all better.

He has been sitting up a lot better and is learning to get down without falling back or busting his head on the ground.. and his army crawl is turning into more of a crawl it's cute!! He is getting so big I can't believe it!!!! He will be a year in 4 months it's ridiculous although I am content with only having one kid I will miss the baby stage lol.

His dad and grandparents are coming next week for thanksgiving so that should be a lot of fun for him. I'm glad he isn't at the age to know a lot yet cause I'm still so uncomfortable about things and I really do hope he has a good relationship with them as well since they're his family too. It sucks being 12 hours away it's still so unreal sometimes cause I don't understand how the entire situation came to be.. Hopefully we will be closer soon though- it will be good for Wyatt to have both parents around and even though he will never have that "traditional" family I'm glad that his dad and I are friends so he will still always have both of us just at separate houses :).. I can't wait to see who he is going to be like. I know there are traits from both of us I'd want him to have and then ones I pray he doesn't have lol. He got hit with being stubborn from both sides though and is already stubborn as stubborn can be. People say a grandchild is a mothers revenge and well although I wasn't a bad kid in general when I acted up I went big lol so Wyatt will give me a run for my money I'm sure! And I know his daddy is no angel either lol. I am however in loveeeeee with his green eyes if he didn't get anything else from his dad those eyes would make up for it all hahah. I'm sure those eyes will get him out of a bunch of trouble with a sweet little smile I'm sure I'll melt lol.. I don't ever wanna be in the same room as him and his daddy when he wants something I can see it now "but mommm it's only a quad/dirtbike/mustang/etc" then they'll batt their green eyes and smile and I'll be sold! Imma have to sell my soul to the devil to be able to say no to those eyes haha.. Wyatt looks like his daddy more and more each day though. He has my cheeks and if he is sickly you can see it in his eyes and face like me when I'm sick but other than that all boy and all daddy lol.. Even people who don't know Wyatt's dad ask if he looks like his father haha but of course it's how it goes I do the work and daddy gets the credit for that sweet face of his haha.. I will probably be busy this next week to get things ready for thanksgiving and stuff but I will try to update about the visit and how Wyatt liked turkey :) as soon as I can.

October

So Wyatt is still sick :( he actually got worse. I had to leave school and take him to the doctor Thursday because he was throwing up with a fever but not eating anything :(... The pediatrician he was seeing couldn't "fit him in" so I took it upon myself to find a new doctor and will NOT being going back to the other one! He is on a different antibiotic for his ear infection and ZyrtecD to help clear out his nose. He seems to be getting better on the new medicine though and I take him in Wednesday for a follow up appointment. He has been miserable though and not sleeping well at night so we are both miserable and it has been a long couple of days.

I took him to the pumpkin patch in Wilmington though and got him his first pumpkin and next weekend we are going to Charlotte (if he is feeling better) for halloween :) it should be fun!

I can't believe how fast this year has gone by he is 7 1/2 months already things are changing so fast!!
But he is passed out and I need to get some sleep too!

sickly baby

Well I am lucky that with his rough start he hasn't gotten sick earlier but it still sucks... He has an ear infection and red throat both of which can be caused by teething but because he has been miserable and snotty/ clogged up he is now on antibiotics :( hopefully things will get better in the next couple days cause I hate that he is sick..

Besides going to the doctors today was just a waste of a day we didn't do much of anything.. he slept and I did homework -so glad I have a week off after tomorrow.. I just feel like turning off my phone and computer and going to the middle of nowhere with Wyatt for a few days to just get away from everything!!! He just fell asleep so I'm going to get ready for bed now too :)

First half coming to an end..

I CANNOT believe that month 6 is almost over.. It literally feels like yesterday we were in NY and he got his first tooth/teeth and was a few days short of 6 months. I don't know where the time went.. I can even remember where I was a year ago only 16 weeks pregnant finding out Wyatt was a boy because I went into the hospital from him head-butting me so hard and doing summersaults but I thought it was too soon to even feel him considering he wasn't even a pound lol. Time has seriously flown by it's just crazyy!! He changes SO much everyday! I was looking at his pictures from NICU and just how different he looks now and so big!! He totally looks like his dad though :) which is sweet. And like I say a million times I LOVEEEE his green eyes haha. That was the only thing I really hoped for and I really hope they stay green!! It's crazy to think we are almost to a year and he is going to be crawling, walking, and talking all at once. He is almost done introduction to vegetable baby food then next will be the fruits and eventually table food CRAZZYYY!!! He is sick and miserable right now so I'm taking him into the doctors tomorrow morning but other than that he is doing really well :)

Wyatt finished the introduction of squash, which he LOVED, and we moved onto sweet potatoes, which he hates lol. So instead of pushing sweet potatoes more I'm going to move onto carrots and hope he likes that :) Apparently picky eating is inherited and I have a long future of chicken fingers, bacon cheese burgers, and steak SWEEEET hahha hopefully it's just cause we're sick that he doesn't want anything to do with it though. He hasn't gotten whatever cold/flu as bad as I have it and I hope he doesn't cause it could be bad :( but he has been miserable!! The other night he was up every hour - two hours like clock work worse than when I fight brought him home! I think his tummy was hurting cause he hadn't pooped in 2 days but he had a blow out yesterday and a good one today :) He is getting so big he is going to be 1 before I know it!! It will be nice because it's on my spring break so I get to have a birthday week for him hahaha. He sat up without help for over a minute the other day :) he is getting better and better at it, he tries to crawl too but gets SOOO frustrated cause he can't move but works his little legs as hard as he can lol. And as the picture shows he LOVES to stick out his tongue at EVERYTHING!! He'll bite you do an evil smile/laugh and stick out his tongue it's hilarious!!! But I should attempt homework while he sleeps :)

Squashh

YAY it's official we started baby food yesterday and he LOVED it!! Gobbled it all up lol. So hopefully I have him wired to like fruits and veggies before his daddy gets his hands on his eating habits and I'm stuck fixing bacon cheese burgers, steak, pizza or chicken tenders lol. It's funny cause I could totally live without meat but I do need to learn kid friendly ways to make it so when he does start eating table food I know what to make. He had two blow outs today YAY!! I think only a mom can be excited about pooping haha. So hopefully the fiber in the veggies help keep him regular :)

He got his 6 month shots on friday and hated the nurse more than the shots :/ unfortunately she was the only one working at the time so I couldn't ask for someone else (I think when it comes to having a kid the bitch comes out in moms 'cause if we feel like the safety of our kid is threatened claws sure as hell come out, and we're tired, still hormonal even if it's just PMS lol).. He hated her though even when she was doing routine weight and height checks. He didn't have a high fever after this time and it didn't seem to bother him after at all :) he's a tough guy haha.

School sucks, has always sucked, and will continue to suck for however many years it takes to pass but it must be done!

Football has started so Uncle AK came over and watched the Falcons game on sunday! Wyatt loved it lol he was starring at the tv intensely it was cute.. Hockey season is coming up I think our minor team starts the end of Oct. so hopefully I'll be able to take Wy to a few of those gotta embed the game in him while he's young haha. I really hope he likes hockey and plays but if he doesn't then whatever makes him happy!

NY road trip.

Wyatt went on his first real road trip. We left on friday and made it to Canada saturday morning. We spent a few hours in Ontario and then crossed the border back into NY and headed to Albany. He did great though he had a couple fussy times but not for more than 5 minutes and pretty much slept the entire way! I was super happy because normally he sobs if I take him in town to target. We spent saturday night, sunday day, and monday day with Wyatt's daddy! He did amazing with him which was nice! Even got in a few diapers ;) lol. Wyatt got to meet a lot of his friends which was cute. I was SUPER nervous cause I had never met any of them and boys and babies usually don't go together lol but they did an amazing job and Wyatt loved them so after a while I wasn't so nervous.. He had never been around so many guys before (just uncle Nathan and uncle AK) so he was starring at them intently it was cute! I think the entire trip drained Wyatt cause it was a lot and he missed a few naps he is racked out now haha. He got to meet his only Grandpa so that was nice too :)... The drive back wasn't the greatest though :( he slept from Jersey to Washington which was nice but we got lost and took some backass way which added time. We had to stop in "hold your purse and lock your doors," Virginia because he was sobbing and just wanted out of his seat! Once we hit NC and got near Fayetteville our GPS took us to idk somewhere that isn't our house and added another hour onto the trip and NO ONE was happy at this point. My knees are still swollen from sitting crisscross for 10 hours lol. He wouldn't let me put him in his crib to put himself to sleep last night so he slept with me but tonight we are starting our routine back because as much as I love him he doesn't need to get in a habit of sleeping in my bed and has to learn to soothe himself to sleep.. he got THREEEEE teeth on the trip too :) one on the way, and two at daddy's :)!! one is visible and the gums re-swelled around the other two so you can just barely feel them. Hopefully all this traveling will be done with by next year if I get in UVM because 12 hours away sucks and you just miss so much because they grow and change so much especially in the first year. I think grandpa, granny D, and daddy are coming down this fall around american thanksgiving so he will maybe be crawling by then :) and definitely eating food! And hopefully I'll be able to make another trip up before he turns one this spring.

New doctor...

So I took him to a new doctor in town and I'm not sure if I like her yet or not :/ ... She changed his formula to help with his digestion issues but he still spits up and didn't listen to me when I said I didn't want him on another medicine because the other ones only made it worse and this one is linked to future heart problems and with his heart murmur I didn't feel comfortable.. It's just annoying that everyone thinks they know best and I know nothing! I know I didn't go to school for 12 years to be a doctor but you're not at home everyday with my son. We're half way to a year almost though so should be almost done with the spit up and hopefully the constipation gets better. I feel like going back to the regular formula and starting over because they've changed him so much it's just ridiculous and then go to a specialist so they can look at what's going on inside and why he screams in pain every time he tries to poop....


On a lighter note he will be going on his first SUPER long road trip next weekend for the long weekend we're going to NY and Canada so that should be fun :) hopefully he does okay in the car though.. I wish he could eat real food cause it'd be nice if he could eat a poutine or pizza while we're in NYC even though no one should actually eat them they're both super yummy haha.. We're hopefully going through VT too so I don't have to go back up in November with just Wyatt and can go visit actual friends in Wilmington/Charlotte/Boone/Chapel Hill... I guess it would be best to stay in NC since everyone we care about and who cares about us pretty much live here anyway.. I'm excited for his first holidays too :)

He is trouble though he like rolls over and scoots to get to things it's crazy!!! He was on the floor playing by the couch and rolled/scooted to the fire place DANGEROUS!!! haha He will be sitting up and then crawling before I know it!!

summer vacation is over :(

So I've officially started school it's only 2 days a week though so it's not that bad. I'm bored as sin and hate being away from Wyatt but overall he does okay at my sisters! I have some pictures to upload once I get around to it. He is still having tummy and pooping issues but we go to the doctors friday. Also he started cereal and loves it and will be starting baby vegetables this weekend :)

update

Sorry I haven't been keeping up with this :( Wyatt and I have been back and forth between Wilmington and here all summer :/ so since I've missed so much I'll start back at his 4 month shots. We spent almost 5 hours at the doctors that day (they forgot about us at the end) but they had a student do his checkup first and busted his head on the wall so he was screaming and then an hour after that after I got him calmed down and back to sleep the actual doctor came in did his checkup and ramblings and switched his formula to soy instead of gentle ease because of the acid reflux and wanted to send him for an upper and lower GI track test to look for kinks in his intestines. So an hour after that the nurse came in the room to clean it and then realized we still needed shots so she went off and got everything ready and finally gave him the 4 month shots at this point it was almost 6 and I still had to drive home 2 hours away. So I kept up on tylenol for the pain and so he didn't get a fever. Which he did have a low grade one but nothing too major. So the GI track test was a week after his shots and by this point the kid hadn't pooped in 3 days! So I take him into the doctor the day before his test and they tell me give him apple juice and that should make him go but it will make his acid reflux worse ughhh! So I do the juice the rest of the day and he had a fever of 100.3 at the doc's office so I had to monitor it for the rest of the day/night. Well he struck 103.4 that night so of course I'm flippin' shit about horror stories of babies running high fevers and having brain damage so I call the hospital to talk to a nurse and she told me all about baby fevers and to just keep up on tylenol and only bring him in at 105 ONE ZERO FIVE for real?? I know they probably know what they're talking about but I hand my keys ready if that temp got to 104 we were going in because there wasn't a reason for him to have a fever so I was worried. Anyway the next morning we had to be at the hospital at 7 for the GI test. And he wasn't allowed food 4-6 hours before that. Let me tell you a hungry baby is NO joke and my hungry baby was not pleased!! So they get us back into the xray room and he is doing pretty good but then it's time to STRAP HIM DOWN to a wood bored so he can't move and take pictures so he is screaming and crying so I'm crying cause it's heartbreaking seeing him like that. so after about another hourish of that because they turn the bored to put him on each side and all that he has to drink a bottle of barium (this white NASTY chalk-like fluid that highlights his GI track) so at this point he is starving and would eat anything and I have to feed him while he is strapped to the wood bored sobbing. He took some but was still pretty upset and lying flat on his back made it come back up because you cant feed acid reflux babies on their back :( so finally he gets unstrapped and I have to feed him the rest of the bottle and they took regular xrays for the next hour to see how long it took to get to the intestines and if their were any kinks. Well come to find out barium makes you more constipated so the juice had helped and was starting to clear him out when boom barium comes in and stops all progress! So over the next week he was screaming and straining and ripping his booty trying to push this super hard poop out and it's not working even with help. So we end up in the ER for 5 hours that weekend and the doctor says nothing I can do besides a suppository and you can get a referral to a specialist! So naturally I wanted to bite her freaking head off because my poor baby can't poop and it's hurting him! So the suppository worked and he had pooped and at this point I was doing prune juice in every bottle and molasses with water to try to help him go and not rip! So he went a couple times then again stopped going so I'm trying everything still and it's not happening! So we go back to the doctor and they switch his formula to this super expensive stuff and put him on myralax. Well this so called formula that is suppose to be good for spit up as well as soft poop makes him projectile vomit and continuously gag on it as it comes back up. But it turned out that my friends mom is a baby constipation specialist so she called me and gave me some tips on helping him go with the myralax and sure enough about an hour after I gave it to him he blew out EVERYWHERE!! We were in a restaurant too lol. He soaked his carseat, his outfit, my entire shirt but I was SO HAPPY he finally went lol. So we stripped him down in the bathroom and cleaned him all up and got changed and he has been going every since and we have had a few more blow outs so I have been covered in poop a lot this week haha I rather have to take a few extra showers then have him hurting and not pooping. And that has been our month!

4 months!!

We are a third of the way done this year :) he is growing up SO quickly it's insane! I was looking at his newborn pictures and it's just crazy how different he looks -handsome of course but WAY different lol. We had our first 4th of July together- unless we wanna count when he was in my belly and I didn't know it yet lol- but we didn't do much of anything he was asleep before dark and I didn't want to keep him up just for fireworks that may or may not scare him because they're so loud! I put him in a cute little american flag jumper but within 30 minutes he had pooped out of it and I didn't even get a picture :( maybe next year lol...
I take him to the doctor tomorrow for his 4 month shots I hope he does okay! Apparently there is a recall on tylenol again (of course each time I need to give him some it's recalled ) but I have the CVS brand so hopefully that is okay to give him before his shots! He did really good last time and hopefully he will stay asleep on the 2 hour drive there and back :/ ... He has been rolling from his back to belly- he hasn't mastered it yet but tries his absolute hardest lol. He rolled over in his bouncey seat today I was cooking and had him in it and I look over and he was on his belly looking around happy as can be haha.. His acid reflux is getting worse :( so hopefully the doctor can do something tomorrow. The medicines make him projectile vomit his bottles, the similac sensitive makes him vomit, and the rice just makes the spit up chunky :( .. He is teething really bad so I don't know if that could upset his tummy enough to make him throw up acid and clabbered milk curds or what is making it worse :( it has a nasty burnt kinda smell to it too and he cries so it's obviously hurting him which really sucks! By 6 months to a year it usually fixes itself the doctor said but I don't want him to hurt for an entire year over this and the only other medicine has a serious side effect and causes heart problems so I'm not putting him on that especially with his heart murmur so who knows what else there is to help him. He has been sleeping SO well at night though for a few weeks he'll go to bed around 7:30 give or take an hour and then sleep til 4 or so and then gets up around 7 and we stay in bed for about 30 minutes then get up and start the day :)... He is racked out now and I need to get to bed too so I'll try and post again soon :)

and so it begins..

Teething- drooling, biting, chewing, gnawing all of it!! It's not bad yet but he LOVES to bite and suck on everything!! You put it near him and it ends up in his mouth!! He can blow spit bubbles too which is cute because everything he does is cute but still kinda gross lol. While I'm feeding him he tries to stick is fingers/ fist into his mouth with the bottle and gets mad because they both wont fit! I think he is going to have some attitude when he is older he is already such a character!! Not much has been going on with him he's just getting better at supporting his head and all that nothing new has really developed! He will be going to his first birthday on Saturday to celebrate Georgia's first birthday :) After he gets his 4 month shots I think we will start oatmeal if I get the OK by his doctor! He just woke up and is chillin' in his swing so I should get ready before he starts to cry :)
