Intro
Wyatt will be 6 weeks old tomorrow! It's crazy to thing just six weeks ago I was having this beautiful baby boy. LOTS has happened over these past 6 weeks and he has changed and grown SO much. After 9 days in NICU (seemed like 9 years) because of his descended stomach that cause breathing issues and small nose, tongue, and chin making it hard for him to eat he got to come home on an apnea monitor and directions to keep back time minimal. That weekend our lovely family friends Mindy and Jordan (jamphotography) came down to take some AMAZING pictures of Wyatt(image above) . They are great photographers for ANY occasion and better yet amazing people! Can't wait for their wedding!!! After a week at home Wyatt's daddy and grandma D came to visit from NY for a few days- the extra help was awesome! Wyatt got some good bonding time in too. Eventually I had to go back to school. Wyatt got to party with granny G and play farmville on facebook while I sat in class with separation anxiety (not really but it was hard) haha. As he gets better we venture out more! He went on his first walk at the beach the other day and has been on 2 one and a half hour long road trips - resulting in a speeding ticket on the last one lol.
Wyatt is now off his apnea monitor and is doing great on his back( still has some problems though).. He has had some issues with acid reflux and is now on medicine to help ease the pain. He was sent for an echo which detected a small hole in his heart causing the murmur. The doctors say he should grow out of it and it shouldn't cause problems. His nose, chin, and tongue have also improved. The bigger he gets the better he gets :) He has gained over 2 pounds since birth and was 10 lbs 5oz at his last doctors appointment- I'm glad I didn't go to term or he would have been born that big OUCH!! He is waking up once a night and usually has a 6-8 hour stretch after his bedtime bottle.Wyatt loves being read to, music, the bath, and sleep :) he also loves being talked to and makes some of the cutest expressions!
Well that about sums up the last 6 weeks it's crazy how much he has changed. Next week will be crazy busy with doctors appointments and my first birthday with him but I'll try to get at least a picture up :)
